NC12350   Monocoupe 110

NC12350’s Lindberg Link

Tony Little’s Monocoupe 110 NC12350 was probably the fastest commercial aircraft in its class in the US.  Tony loaned NC12350 to Lindberg for several local flights. Lindbergh became interested in purchasing his own Monocoupe and in August of 1934 borrowed NC12350 for a flight to the Monocoupe factory in St. Louis to order one of his own.

An article from the June 15, 1934 issue of Sportsman Pilot contained the following article about races at the Pylon Club and included several references to Tony Little and NC12350.  Included is the following:

… and Tony Little in his Monocoupe.  (That is the same ship, by the way, that Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lindberg flew to St. Louis the other day when they went out to order their new ship.)
